Job Description

This is a full-time, 12-month, non-exempt position that reports to the Manager of Grounds & Building Services and is located on JWCC’s main campus in Quincy, Illinois.  Position begins immediately.

 

The primary responsibility is to provide housekeeping and cleaning services. This position must ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.  Following workplace safety guidelines is required. Duties will include general housekeeping including ability to sanitize, dust, sweep, mop, wipe, vacuum, refill inventory locations, and gather and dispose of trash and recyclables. Additional duties may include assisting with snow removal, assisting with light grounds work, and setting up for special events.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

A high school diploma or equivalent is recommended.  One year or more of custodial experience is preferred. Must be able to lift as needed and have the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Duties require the ability to work independently.
